Kansas Wildlife Commission Meeting Slated for Jan. 11 in Milford

The Kansas Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Commission will conduct its first public meeting of 2018 on Jan. 11 in Milford.

The public meeting will begin at 1 p.m. with an afternoon session that will recess at 5 p.m for a Workshop portion. The meeting will then reconvene at 6:30 p.m. for the Public Hearing session. Both sessions will take place at the Milford Lake Conference Center, 3710 Farnum Creek Road.

Among topics that will be discussed during the General Discussion portion of the meeting will be waterfowl and webless migratory bird regulations, drawing of 2018 big game permits and a report on the five-year review of the state's threatened and endangered species.

The Workshop will include reviews of regulations on big game hunting, public land usage and Coast Guard navigation rules. …
