WINNIPEG. x-13s. Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister admits he's made a few verbal gaffes and he shows no sign of changing his ways in 2018. Pallister came under fire recently for complimenting the high heels worn by the chair of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. Last January, he drew criticism for saying Indigenous night hunting could lead to a -- quote -- "race war". Paul Thomas, a professor of political studies at the University of Manitoba, says Pallister seems to lack the instinctive judgment most other politicians have about what remarks are appropriate.
