Silkmen Boss Has Selection Headache as Leaders Face Moors Clash

JOHN Askey admits he may have a selection headache for this weekend's game against Solihull Moors due to the impressive performances his Macclesfield Town side have shown in recent weeks.

The Silkmen made a few changes for the match against FC Halifax Town on New Year's Day, but that didn't stop them dominating and picking up a 4-1 victory at the Shay.

With that in mind, Askey said there are a lot of players in contention to start the game, but is planning on picking the team that will be best suited for the match on the day.

"It's always tricky picking the team, but you've just got to try and pick what you think is best for the day," he said.

"The good thing is that now we've got a bit of a break after a busy period, and we got through the Halifax game on Monday without any injuries. …
