WASHINGTON * Veteran Missouri lobbyist Andy Blunt is teaming up with a long-time confidant of Blunt's father, Sen. Roy Blunt, in a lobbying venture in several states.

Gregg Hartley, a veteran D.C. lobbyist who previously worked for Roy Blunt, confirmed that Andy Blunt would join Husch Blackwell Strategies as chairman of the board and chief operating officer. Andy Blunt, who managed his father's successful 2016 Senate campaign, is the founder and chairman of Statehouse Strategies and a prominent lobbyist in Jefferson City.

Husch Blackwell is a law firm with offices in 18 cities around the country, including St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield, Mo., and Kansas City .

The new lobbying venture will be headquartered in Jefferson City. Hartley, founder and chair of Cloakroom Advisors, a Washington-based federal lobbying firm, will be executive vice chair of Husch Blackwell Strategies and also its chief executive officer. …
