MARK Heffron is set to challenge for the British middleweight title later this year after Liam Cameron pulled out of their final eliminator.

Heffron and Cameron were expected to face each other later this year, with the winner getting a shot at the Lonsdale belt, but instead it appears that Heffron will get a straight shot at the belt.

The title is currently scheduled to be on the line next month when champion Tommy Langford defends against Jack Arnfield, and Heffron plans on being there to see who will be his future opponent.

"Just had the news Liam Cameron has pulled out of our final eliminator for the British title, I wish him all the best and hopefully we can meet down the line," he said.

"The great news for me is that I now get a straight shot for the British title. …
