Reports: Yankees Settle with Betances, Warren

The Yankees settled with one of their most notable arbitration players Friday, reaching a deal with Dellin Betances.

Per MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, Betances and the team agreed to one-year, $5.1 million contract. Betances, 29, now has one year left with arbitration rights before he can become an unrestricted free agent.

Betances and the Yankees front office, most notable team president Randy Levine, created headlines last winter when the two sides could not come to a deal. Levine called Betances' team's attempt to secure a lucrative new deal "ridiculous" and accused Betances' agency of looking for a figure that had "no bearings to reality." Levine also reportedly said he did not view Betances as a closer, and that Betances was looking for that type of money. …
