As Much as 6 Inches of Snow Could Fall

Fear not: The bomb cyclone that dumped huge amounts of snow in some areas is not returning. But there is snow predicted in the forecast. A storm that started Tuesday night and would continue into Wednesday could bring as much as 6 inches in parts of North Jersey.

A winter weather advisory was in effect in North Jersey by 6 p.m. Tuesday and will last through noon on Wednesday, said meteorologist Joe Pollina. A mixture of light rain and snow hit the area before the snow picked up overnight and through the morning.

Only light precipitation was predicted before it picked up.

The snow could affect Wednesday's morning commute, so drivers should be cautious and make plans to leave earlier than usual in case of slick conditions.
