Reds Boss Satisfied with Alexis Drug Explanation

JOSE Mourinho is satisfied with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's explanation for why new United signing Alexis Sanchez allegedly missed a drugs test earlier this week.

Sanchez fell foul of the Football Association's 'whereabouts' rule by supposedly not being present for a routine doping test on Monday.

The 29-year-old had travelled to Manchester on Sunday to conclude his move to United.

As part of the FA's anti-doping guidelines, the governing body must be notified if a player is due to be absent from a scheduled training session. There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Sanchez, United or Arsenal, and Wenger said on Friday he had 'nothing to hide'.

"I think Arsenal was very honest in the way they approached the situation," Mourinho said. "We all know you must tell the whereabouts of our players, where they are, 24 hours a day.

"But I think everybody understands that nobody knew where he was going to be, where he was going to train, where he was going to sleep, it was just a period of transfer. …
