Contest Calls for Creative and Whimsical Pie Bakers

Article excerpt

If you want to unleash your inner pie creativity and you have the baking sass that can top an "I Hate My Husband Pie" or "I Don't Want Earl's Baby Pie" or a "Pregnant, Miserable, Self Pitying Loser Pie," join the Baked From the Heart: Waitress Pie Contest.

Submissions for the contest, which is being held by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in conjunction with the national stage tour production of "Waitress," will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. Feb. 14. Contestants are encouraged to express their hopes, dreams, fears or frustrations and come up with pie entries that can seduce, mend a broken heart or beat the blues just like Jenna Hunterson did in the movie and stage versions of "Waitress."
