CITY resisted interest from across Europe in their young on-loan stars Manu Garcia, Pablo Mari and Angelino.

And the fact they have opted to keep them farmed out at Dutch club NAC Breda for another six months has been hailed as proof the agreement between the clubs is starting to yield results.

Garcia, 20, has been named in the Eredvisie's team of the month, despite NAC being locked in a relegation struggle.

And Angelino, now 21, has been a regular and stand-out performer for the Pearl of the South after his career seemed to be sliding badly following loan spells at New York City, Girona and Mallorca.

The Blues have also sent striker Thierry Ambrose to NAC, and he has six goals in 20 appearances, while Paolo Fernandes, Pablo Mari and Thomas Agyepong have also figured for the first team. …
