NAT162 - (Minimum-Wage-BC) VANCOUVER. x-18s. British Columbia is set to raise its minimum wage to 15 dollars and 20 cents by 2021, with the first increase to 12 dollars and 65 cents coming this June. The B-C Restaurants and Food Services Association says holding off on this year's increase until September would have eased the blow for businesses. Association president Ian Tostenson says while it remains unclear, he hopes the government will maintain a lower minimum wage for liquor servers under the current wage structure. TAG: The Fair Wages Commission is expected to address tiered wages for liquor servers and agricultural workers and to look at bridging the gap between the minimum and living wage regionally.
