IT has been a season to remember for City.

The Blues stormed to a massive 16-point lead in the Premier League after a convincing 5-1 win over Leicester on the weekend.

And after United fell to a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle on Sunday, City's fifth English top-flight title looks all but guaranteed.

Pep Guardiola's side now only need six wins to secure the Premier League trophy.

As long as the gap remains at 16-points the Blues can secure the title on gameweek 33, the day they host United at the Etihad.

However, if Jose Mourinho's side fall further behind then City could secure the title in late March - which would be a new Premier League record.

If the Blues were to win the title on derby day they would match the current record set by United in 2000-01, when they made history with five games to spare. …
