O'FALLON, Ill. > Driver dies in crash * A 69-year-old man from St. Jacob died when his pickup crashed along Scott-Troy Road early Tuesday.

Police did not release the man's name on Tuesday.

The man was driving a pickup in the 400 block of Scott-Troy Road. The vehicle ran off the road and went down an embankment before hitting a culvert, said Capt. Jim Cavins of the O'Fallon Police Department.

A passing motorist saw the pickup in the ditch and reported it. Police were called at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cavins said there was no evidence of driver impairment. He said the crash was possibly due to a medical condition.

ST. LOUIS > Shooting victim dies * A man shot Monday night in St. Louis has died.

The man, who has not been identified, was found unconscious by officers in the 1400 block of East John Street. The scene is just west of Interstate 70 and east of Blair Avenue in the College Hill neighborhood.

The man appeared to be in his 20s. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they had no information to release on any suspects.

CASTLE POINT > Man found fatally shot * A man was fatally shot Monday night in north St. Louis County.

St. Louis County officers called to a shooting about 7 p.m. in the 10200 block of Count Drive in Castle Point found the man dead in the street with at least one gunshot wound, Sgt. Shawn McGuire said.

He was identified Tuesday as Jarrell Rush, 21, who lived in the 10000 block of Toelle Lane, according to police.

Homicide detectives with the police department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are investigating.
