ST. LOUIS > 2 students burned in chemical attack at school * Two students from Sumner High School got burns to their faces after a 16-year-old classmate threw an unknown chemical on them Thursday morning, police said.

The victims, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, were taken to a hospital, where they were listed in serious but stable condition.

Their attacker was taken into custody, police said.

St. Louis police say the unknown substance was thrown at the students in the library. Police got the call at 10 a.m.

A St. Louis Public Schools spokeswoman gave no additional information Thursday afternoon.
