WINNIPEG. x-09s. Some Manitoba survivors of the '60s Scoop have started a campaign to get other survivors to opt out of a settlement with the federal government. Coleen Rajotte (ruh-ZHAHT'), who was taken from her family as a baby, says survivors weren't consulted during the process. In October, the government announced it had reached an agreement with about 20-thousand survivors who are each to receive a payout of between 25-thousand dollars and 50-thousand dollars. Rajotte says if survivors sign on, they won't get justice.
