PEP Guardiola accepted Fabian Delph's red card at Wigan as he stressed the need for City to learn from their FA Cup defeat.

The coach was furious on the touchline when referee Anthony Taylor produced a red card for the tackle on Max Power, having initially appeared to be readying a yellow.

There were angry scenes in the dugouts as Guardiola came together with Wigan counterpart Paul Cook, and that continued into the tunnel at half-time when the two had to be separated.

However, the City boss had calmed down by full-time and did not question the decision of the referee as he attempted to play down the aftermath.
