Murder Charges Dropped in I-55 Drive-By Killing in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS * First-degree murder charges against three men accused of a fatal 2016 drive-by shooting on Interstate 55 have been dropped.

Defense lawyer Robert Taaffe said Monday that witness problems triggered the dismissal of murder charges against Antwone D. Stallworth, 20, Anthony E. Stallworth, 18, and Antwuan L. Morrow Jr., 26.

Taaffe, who represented Morrow, said that the man police believed was the intended target of the shooting could not be located for a pretrial deposition and another alleged witness to the shooting refused to cooperate.

A spokeswoman for the St. Louis circuit attorney's office said witness issues required "a re-evaluation of the evidence," adding that the case was still under investigation .

Charging documents said Morrow and the Stallworths were in a car on southbound Interstate 55 on Aug. …
