NAT116 - (Billy-Graham-Cda) CALGARY. x-14s. The Reverend Billy Graham is being remembered in Canada for drawing big crowds to evangelical campaigns he led over four decades. The celebrated preacher who was a confidant to U-S presidents died today at his North Carolina home. He was 99. Fred Weiss (WEES) was about 12 when he attended a crusade event at Calgary's McMahon Stadium in 1981. He says he was excited to see Graham in person after having watched him on T-V. ("..his preaching.") (SOURCE: The Canadian Press)

TAG: Graham was also an outspoken opponent of same-sex marriage, and his association's website promotes what it calls "overcoming homosexuality."
