'A Streetcar Named Desire' Highlights 2018 Tennessee Williams Festival

Sophia Brown and Nick Narcisi will take on two iconic roles, Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski, when the third annual Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis presents "A Streetcar Named Desire."

"Tennessee Williams: The French Quarter Years" the theme of this year's festival will open at 5:30 p.m. May 10 with a free New Orleans-style brass band parade through Grand Center.

Tim Ocel will direct "Streetcar," which opens at the Grandel, 3610 Grandel Square, at 7:30 p.m. Ocel who teaches at Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts and directs for many St. Louis companies will direct the production.

The festival runs May 10-17 and 19. Other events include a one-man show, a staged reading, two panel discussions and the Stella Shouting Contest . …
