The gun has no moral stature; it's incapable of free will or evil intentions. The gun is the only implement used by people to be vilified. The Boston bombing involved a pressure cooker. No one blamed the pressure cooker. In New York City, a rental truck was used to mow down 20 people. No one blamed Ford. In Virginia, a man used a Dodge to slam into a crowd, killing one and injuring others. These horrific acts required human involvement.

No law can be written to legislate against evil. It is an irrational conjecture to believe otherwise. The National Rifle Association has been blamed for the shootings, even though none of the shooters was an NRA member. The NRA is accused of controlling politicians. In the 2016 election, the NRA was outspent by Michael Bloomberg by $10 million in an effort to influence the outcome. …
