I AM tired of motorists moaning about the consequences of not reading road signs.

Do they complain about burglars being fined for ignoring CCTV, and call such punishment a 'cash cow'? I have to drive once a week, in Tameside, and see the majority of drivers ignoring the bus lane signs which, as with the vast majority in Greater Manchester, only apply for three or six hours on weekdays.

Now just get to grips with the infrastructure problems in similar manner and we will have a magnificent system.

One final point - now that the route numbers (1-7) are shown so prominently on the map, why not put them also on the trams? John McCarthy, Droylsden Out of tune with punk IS there anything more ridiculous than people over the age of 60 talking about punk rock being good music? …
