Aldi Shopper Is Left Flat after Being Told off in Store for Taking the Fizz

A MAN claims he was told off by an Aldi store assistant for taking a photograph of a bottle of champagne.

Jason Copley, 44, says he was shopping for a particular brand of fizz at Aldi White City in Stretford when he was confronted by a member of staff on Sunday.

He said he had taken a photograph of a bottle of champagne to send to a friend to check it was the right label before he made a purchase.

Jason, from Old Trafford, said he was taken aback when challenged by a woman who worked at the store.

He claimed the store assistant 'publicly shamed' him in front of other customers and told him photographing products was not allowed.

Jason, who works for a digital retailer, said: "The reason I was taking a photo was because I had planned to buy six bottles of champagne for a friend's 50th birthday celebration.

"When I got there the label was different to the one my friends had told me about.

"So I took a photo of the label to send to my friends and ask them whether that was the one they meant. …
