UNITED goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has revealed his future is yet to be decided amid speculation he could join Aston Villa permanently in the summer.

The 24-year-old has impressed during a loan spell at with the Championship side this season and their chairman, Tony Xia, has already admitted he would like him to stay at the club.

M.E.N. Sport confirmed this week United had triggered the one-year option on Johnstone's contract, tying him to Old Trafford until summer 2019.

Johnstone is keen to play first-team football, ideally in the Premier League, and expects his future to be decided at the end of the season, with a number of clubs thought to be interested in him.
