Gun Reform Group Says Webster Groves Meeting Was One of a Series of 'Packed' Houses in Recent Weeks

WEBSTER GROVES * A gun reform group organized after a 2012 school shooting said Thursday night's meeting here was a "packed house," with roughly 10 times the normal number of attendees.

Becky Morgan, Missouri chapter president of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, said the monthly meeting at Hixson Middle School was part of a recent boom in attendance for the group.

"We saw our RSVP list just start to grow and grow after the Parkland shooting," she said, referring to the death of 17 students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High school in Florida two weeks ago.

On Instagram, the group called it a "packed house."

Morgan said the Hixson auditorium seats 450, with room for another 250 in the cafeteria. There were so many attendees that they were sitting on the auditorium stage, standing in the aisle and at the back of the room. …
