RUGBY LEAGUE By TOM BRAMWELL @MENSPORTS WHILE the trip to take on Toulouse got Rochdale away from the worst of the stormy weather over the weekend, the 'Beast from the East' did have an impact on the club's preparations for a tough match in France.

And coach Alan Kilshaw is now hoping for a calmer and more normal build-up to this week's key fixture against Barrow Raiders.

"We had a really disrupted week in terms of the weather," explained the Hornets boss.

"We couldn't train Thursday.

We've not done much as a team so, hopefully, we can have a really good week this week and the weather settles down.

"Barrow are going well and they'll come for us, so we've got to go for it.

"It's a real tough competition. We go to Barrow, then a cup game, then Toronto and then it's Easter. …
