ROMELU Lukaku believes he knows why he has become virtually undroppable in Jose Mourinho's eyes.

The United striker claims he is Mourinho's 'sergeant' after starting all but one Premier League game this season. The £75m Belgian scored his 28th goal for club and country in Monday's 3-2 win against Crystal Palace - and has been involved in 11 goals in as many appearances since the turn of the year.

"I think the manager in his mind thinks that I'm like his sergeant on the pitch, and that's strange for a striker because it's usually the midfielders," he told Sky Sports. "The desire to win is bigger than ever since I came to this club, because I always wanted to win and to chase trophies. I always put that in front of my personal objectives and he knows that, and I think that's the reason why I'm playing all the time. …
