HEALTHY fast food chain Friska is opening its first central Manchester site on St Peter's Square.

The independent grab-and-go brand has made a name for itself in its native Bristol for its hot boxes, filled with everything from Lebanese meatballs to butternut and black bean dopiaza, as well as bao buns, pho noodle pots, burritos and wraps.

A range of soups, salads and sandwiches will also be available, along with cakes, pastries and speciality coffee and tea.

Breakfast boxes, including chorizo and eggs on toast and smoked salmon, avocado and kale, are also available in the mornings, along with overnight oats, muffins and toasties.

The new Manchester site, based in the Two St Peter's Square development, will also feature produce from local suppliers.

Founders Griff Holland and Ed Brown say they are committed to sustainability, from the ingredients they use to the people they employ and the charities they partner with, such as Deki and Frank water. …
