St. Louis Man Gets 30 Years for Two Fatal Shootings in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS * A man from St. Louis was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison for his role in the murder of one woman in 2014 and another in 2015, the U.S. Attorney's office said.

Joe Edger, now 43, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis in August 2016 to a charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

He helped a drug dealer, Dwane Taylor, identify the victims, drove Taylor to the site of the killings and supplied the 9 mm handgun used, prosecutors said. Taylor had been robbed and was seeking retaliation, they said.

In return, Edger got a .22-caliber firearm from Taylor, they said.

Court documents say Taylor shot Erin Davis, 31, in December 2014 in an apartment in the 300 block of Walsh Street in the city's Mount Pleasant neighborhood. …
