NAT033 - (US-Sunken-Schooner-Discovered) (NOTE LENGTH) (NOT FOR ONLINE USE) UNDATED. x-04s. Divers announced they have uncovered a 119-year-old shipwreck in Lake Erie. The 30-year search for the Margaret Olwill ended near Cleveland where the ship went down in 1899 with eight crew members and a load of limestone. John McCarty of the National Museum of the Great Lakes says deep water and low visibility makes most of the eight-thousand shipwrecks in the Great Lakes extremely difficult to find.
