ROCHDALE 0 FLEETWOOD 2 ROCHDALE'S bid to retain their League One status was dealt a blow as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Fleetwood Town.

Second half goals from Paddy Madden and Jordy Hiwula saw the Cod Army, who came into the game just one place above the drop zone, open up an eight-point gap between themselves and Dale.

It was a familiar story for Keith Hill's men - they dominated possession but rarely looked like scoring. And when the visitors had the chance to hit them on the break they did so to devastating effect.
