P15 - (Pot-Consultations) OTTAWA. x-15s. The federal government says the Canadian public broadly supports the tight regulations it has so far proposed for marijuana packaging. Health Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor says the packaging, which will include a bright red stop sign containing a pot leaf and the letters T-H-C, will ensure Canadians are aware of the risks of using pot. TAG: The government says it received hundreds of responses during a 60-day consultation period on its proposed regulations around the sale of legalized cannabis. Officials say any product containing pot will have to carry logos of a single colour, with no metallic or fluorescent finishes on the packaging. Packages would also have to be opaque and child-resistant, with a bright yellow health warning similar to those used on tobacco products. …
