CALLUM Johnson dedicated his victory to his late father after he won the British light-heavyweight title against Frank Buglioni.

Johnson, who is trained by Joe Gallagher at his gym in Bolton, defeated Buglioni by first round stoppage at the O2 Arena in London.

It means the British title now goes alongside Johnson's Commonwealth belt, and he was delighted to get the win for his dad, who passed away in 2016.

"I want to keep proving my dad right and the doubters wrong. I owe everything I've done in my life to my dad," he said.

"I thought it could be quick but, honestly, probably not that quick. I can knock any light-heavyweight out in the world, I'm not saying I'm the best but I can stop anyone.
