RUGBY LEAGUE: LEIGH continued their return to form with a 40-10 victory over SWINTON LIONS at Heywood Road.

With Josh Woods recalled by Wigan for the Good Friday derby against St Helens, Stuart Littler was forced to shuffle his decks, most notably moving Chris Hankinson into the halves.

The Centurions opened the scoring through ex-Lion Liam Hood and doubled their lead soon after with a try from Nathan Mason.

Swinton hit back through George Tyson and Kyle Shelford, but two tries in two minutes from Craig Hall gave Leigh a 24-10 lead at the break.

Second-half scores from Bodene Thompson, Peter Mata'utia and Matty Dawson-Jones sealed the victory for the Centurions.

ROCHDALE fell to a disappointing 38-20 defeat at Sheffield, an errorstrewn opening period costing Alan Kilshaw's side dear. Lewis Palfrey spilled the kick off and Hornets were made to pay, conceding inside the first minute. …
