Panic over Prankster's 'Severed Foot' in Road

A 'SEVERED foot' stopped traffic on a busy main road - but it wasn't what it seemed.

Police were called to Milnrow Road in Newbold, Rochdale, yesterday morning after drivers reported seeing a 'human foot' in the middle of street.

But on closer inspection, officers discovered it was in fact an incredibly realistic fake, thought to have been put in the road as a joke.

Mohammed Yousaf, owner of the nearby Auto Shop car accessories store, posted footage of the foot on Facebook.

He said: "I got a call from a lady, she was in tears saying there was a foot in the road.

"I went round there and it looked really realistic "There was loads of traffic queuing down the road, because nobody wanted to drive past it in case they damaged it.

"The police came and at first they approached it very slowly. …
