Man, 33, Stabbed Twice While in Park

A MAN was stabbed after two people brushed past him in a park and told him to 'watch what he was doing.' .

The 33-year-old victim was walking in Laithwaite Park, in Wigan, when the two men passed by him on Tuesday.

After threatening him they then assaulted him.

The man managed to run away from the two men and noticed he had been stabbed twice.

He walked into a nearby pub on Harrison Street, in the Newton area, and called for help, at around 5.30pm.

Police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance were called to the scene. The victim was taken to hospital in an ambulance, where he remains in a serious condition.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
