Officials Step in to Cramp Phil's Style

ENGLAND women's boss Phil Neville was given a stern ticking off after he came to the rescue of a Welsh player suffering from cramp during a World Cup qualifier last night.

The former United star nipped onto the pitch during the match to stretch out midfielder Kayleigh Green's leg.

But Neville's touching actions did not go down too well with the FIFA fourth official, who ordered him to stop and gently marched him back to the dugout.

Green was then treated by Wales physios.

Footage shows the fourth official smiling and joking with Neville after the second-half incident, but he doesn't appear too happy.

And there was more frustration to come for the former defender.

His first home match in charge of England women ended in a goalless draw at St Mary's Stadium in Southampton. …
