Fuqua, Collins August 8, 1922 March 29, 2018. Beloved husband of Patricia Fuqua (nee Saputo) and the late Joann Fuqua (nee McCall); dear father of Janet (Patrick) Flynn and the late Morgan Fuqua; dear brother of the late Mildred Pondrom; our dear grandfather, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Collins was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Corinth and Collins Fuqua, and was raised in Texarkana, Arkansas. In 1940, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served in WWII for 5 years where he flew fuel to General Patton's troops, flew paratroopers into combat and participated in D-Day. He thought the best thing the government ever did was offering the GI Bill to provide education for veterans. Following the service, he enrolled in the University of Arkansas for 1 year and graduated from Georgia Tech University with a degree in aeronautical engineering. …
