Kerry, Richard C. August 9, 1945 April 3, 2018 A family dentist, "Doc" was adored by his longtime staff and patients, many of whom began seeing him as children and grew up to bring their children to see him. As a teenager, he started The Contors, St. Louis's first racially integrated band, with whom he continued to play, on and off, for the rest of his life. Rick played tenor sax and was an aficionado of MoTown and old-fashioned rhythm and blues. He had a penchant for poker, cigarettes, weak Folgers coffee, greasy burgers, Lionel trains, John Wayne movies, V-neck undershirts, and shearling moccasins. Doc was immensely kind and is remembered by all for his unfailing generosity and endless supply of jokes for all occasions (and a few unfit for any occasion). A proud father, he instilled in his daughters not only his sense of humor but also his determination, resilient spirit, love of music, and sense of adventure. …
