THE Hunger Games is returning to the big screen like never before, accompanied by a full symphony orchestra.

The blockbuster film, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, is coming to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, where its epic score will be performed live on stage while the action plays out on a giant HD screen.

Based on Suzanne Collins' successful book trilogy, the film is set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic future, where young people are offered up as 'tributes' to fight to the death in a televised competition.

The imposing score is written by Oscar-nominated and Grammywinning composer James Newton Howard and also includes a contribution from Canadian rock behemoths Arcade Fire, who wrote the ominous Panem national anthem Horn Of Plenty.

It will be brought to life on this tour by The Novello Orchestra. …
