PEP Guardiola says his 'extraordinary' City side don't need any extra motivation for their Champions League showdown with Liverpool tonight.

The Blues boss claimed he was 'delighted' with the way his men played in the derby - despite the fact they threw away a two-goal half-time lead to blow the chance of clinching the Premier League crown against United.

But Guardiola was adamant he is 'right behind his players' and the way they performed, after a scintillating first half.

"I'm delighted to lose the way we lose against United," said Guardiola ahead of tonight's quarter-final, second-leg clash with Liverpool, who have a 3-0 lead.

"We were sad but we have six more chances (to win the league). The way we played was outstanding, I'm so happy. I can't say anything else about that."

Now Guardiola has to lift his players in a bid to overcome that deficit from the first leg at Anfield. …
