Martin Fry is best known as the lead singer of the band ABC. The band had six top 20 singles during the 1980s, including Poison Arrow, All of My Heart and The Look of Love.

¦ Martin Fry was born in Stretford in 1958 and grew up in Bramhall, Stockport. He met original band members Mark White and Stephen Singleton while interviewing them for a fanzine.

¦ White and Singleton asked Fry to join their band Vice Versa as their keyboard player.

¦ With Fry on board, Vice Versa changed their name to ABC and Fry took on the role of lead singer and songwriter.

¦ ABC recorded six albums during the 80s as well as releasing a Greatest Hits album in 1990. The album The Lexicon of Love, released in 1982, is the band's highest charting album, reaching No. 1 in the UK. The 1987 album Alphabet City also charted well, reaching No. …
