(HKO-Sask-Bus-Crash-Error)

The Saskatchewan coroner's office admits a devastating mix-up was made in the confusion of Friday's crash involving the Humboldt Broncos' junior hockey team bus.

The family of one 18-year-old was told their son had died, while another was told their 18-year-old son survived.

The coroner's office mixed up Parker Tobin and Xavier (ZAYV'-yuhr) Labelle.

The families learned Sunday night it was Tobin, a goalie from Stony Plain, Alberta, who had actually died -- and Labelle was in hospital, with Tobin's parents at his bedside.

Saskatchewan's justice ministry has offered its sincerest apologies, citing several difficulties identifying the 15 dead and the 14 injured survivors.

A joint statement from the families says they understand how the mistake was made and are grieving together. (1)

(Toronto-Children-Hurt)

Two Toronto elementary school students were taken to hospital with minor injuries Monday after what's believed to be hot liquid asphalt leaked through a roof and dropped onto them while they played in gym class.

The Toronto District School Board says the incident at Derrydown Public School involved two eight-year-olds.

Spokesman Ryan Bird says work is being done on the school's roof, and it appears a small amount of liquid asphalt fell onto the back of one child's neck while a larger volume fell onto another child's arm.

Paramedics say the kids suffered minor burns and were taken to the Hospital for Sick Children. (1)

Kinder Morgan is giving Ottawa until the end of May to convince the company that the pipeline expansion to triple the flow of oil to the coast can actually be built in B-C, where its N-D-P government is trying to limit how much oil can flow through the province. …
