VANCOUVER. x-16s. Families of people addicted to illicit drugs say they're often shut out of their loved ones' treatment because of privacy and confidentiality policies. A network of family members that works with the B-C Centre on Substance Use has released a report identifying challenges families face in getting care. Deb Bailey says her 21-year-old daughter Ola Bailey was being treated with suboxone, but a doctor wouldn't let her or her husband pick up the medication before the young woman's death in December 2015.
