KINGSTON, Ont. - Ted Nichol scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period and the Kingston Frontenacs advanced to the Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference final by beating the Barrie Colts 2-1 in Game 6 of their second-round series.

Brett Neumann also scored for the Frontenacs, who won the series 4-2.

Aaron Luchuk had the lone goal for Barrie.

Kingston goaltender Jeremy Helvig stopped 29 shots while Leo Lazarev made 23 saves for the Colts.

The Frontenacs will play the Hamilton Bulldogs in the league's semifinal. Hamilton advanced by beating the Niagara IceDogs in five games in their second-round series.
