CITY are set to receive their Premier League winner's medals, along with the trophy, after the home game against Huddersfield on May 6. But who will get one - and who could miss out on one of world football's greatest prizes? It used to be the case that a player had to play in ten matches, either from the start or as a substitute, to qualify for a medal.

But the Premier League has halved the qualification to five, and even then players who do not make the cut can still be awarded a medal.

The simple fact is City will get 40 medals to distribute as they see fit - as long as every player who has played in at least five games gets one.

That means Eliaquim Mangala, who tucked nine appearances under his belt before being loaned to Everton in January, is sure to get one. …
