SWANSEA have confirmed they will give City a guard of honour ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash.

The two teams will meet at the Etihad Stadium in the first game since the Blues were confirmed as champions last Sunday, when United surprisingly lost at home to West Brom.

And Swans boss Carlos Carvalhal - still in need of points to stave off relegation, said they will be "proud" to clap the Blues onto the pitch.

"Congratulations to Manchester City, Pep Guardiola and all the players," he said.

"They deserve to be champions, they are the best team in the competition.

"We are proud to do the guard of honour for them.
