EDMONTON. x-14s. Alberta Energy Minister Marg McCuaig-Boyd says a pending legal challenge by B-C over the Trans Mountain oil pipeline expansion is a red herring designed to frustrate the project getting built. McCuaig-Boyd says the courts have already settled the issue that it is the federal government that has the final say on inter-provincial pipelines.

TAG: The B-C government says it will file its Trans Mountain pipeline reference case by April 30th with the B-C court of appeal. The pipeline builder, Kinder Morgan, says B-C's delay tactics have put the future of the project in question.
