P07 - (SCOC-Border-Beer) VANCOUVER. x-08s. Canada's highest court has upheld the constitutionality of a New Brunswick law that prevents residents of that province from carrying liquor bought elsewhere across its boundary. The British Columbia Wine Institute, which represents all wineries in the province, was hoping for a different outcome. President and C-E-O Miles Prodan argues unfair interprovincial trade barriers have harmed Canada's wine industry and prevented consumers from purchasing the Canadian wines of their choice.
