WINNIPEG. x-11s. The Manitoba Metis Federation and the province will take a two-week "reset" to avoid meeting in court over planned hydro projects. Federation president David Chartrand says he hopes it works. He met with Crown Services Minister Cliff Cullen today to discuss the future of a deal with Manitoba Hyrdro. Last month, Premier Brian Pallister quashed the 67-million-dollar agreement that had been negotiated to help support a transmission line to Minnesota. Chartrand responded by saying the federation would ask the courts to overturn the decision.
