LEIGH Centurions continued their impressive return to form with a comprehensive 40-0 victory over London in the Challenge Cup fifth round at Leigh Sports Village.

The club's run of successive wins, now extended to seven, began with the hardfought 8-4 away victory over Batley in the previous round - the first match under caretaker coach Kieron Purtill - and continued with this dismantling of the promotion-chasing Broncos.

Three tries in five minutes mid-way through the first half set the tone for the home side's performance, Matty Dawson-Jones, Liam Hood and Craig Hall all crossing in quick succession.

Jack Owens added a fourth just before half-time to give the Centurions a 22-0 lead at the break.

Two second-half scores from Ben Crooks put the result beyond doubt before captain Harrison Hansen crossed in the closing stages. …
